Portrait of Rajender Dutt, merchant of Calcutta, sitting in chair 3/4 pose, upper thighs up. He is wearing a white turban and dress, with a large blue cloth draped over his shoulders and upper body. Above him is a pink curtain, behind him is an open window revealing shrubbery, a banister and blue sky.
