DESCRIPTION

This is a diptych of vastly different depths, causing shadows to play a role in the composition. The first, and thicker painting (on the viewer's left), has thick impasto paint in brown shades, with a central keystone shape of a door. The second painting (on the viewer's right) has thick impasto paint in brown shades forming an abstract view of a rocky, sandstone landscape.
