DESCRIPTION

This is one chair from a set of six surviving side chairs used by George Crowninshield on his pleasure yacht Cleopatra's Barge. All of the chairs are painted green with yellow and gold decoration and rush seats. Each chair features a different painted landscape scene on its back splat.
