This is one of a pair of porcelain tureens in the form of jumping carps. These beautiful and functional objects once graced a Spanish nobleman’s dining table. His family coat of arms appears on the fish’s cheeks. Gilded bronze European bases add to the grace of these swimming, sculptural forms.
