This is a harpoon line with a head and toggle. The object has a coil of narrow stiff rawhide with splices. A loop on one end has a bone toggle roughly seal shape. There is a loop on the other end through two holes in the bone head with one bone barb and a foliate iron tip, fastened by a nail.
