This is a waterproof hat woven out of cedar bark. There is an inner skullcap and broad brimmed upper (scullcap is woven into upper). The outside rim is painted black and covered with pitch. The upper section of the hat is a natural color decorated with black and red designs. There are maroon leather tabs at the top.
