Sawfish blade, about 1830 Sawfish (Pristis pectinatus) Donor unkown, before 1831 EIMS3552.1 This blade is probably from the common sawfish (Pristis pectinatus). The "saw" of this relative of the shark and the ray can reach six feet in length.

DESCRIPTION

This is a saw fish blade. It is a flat snout with 17 teeth on one side and 19 teeth on the other side.
